Alt-Ac Careers: What PhD Supervisors and ECR Line Managers Need to Know: 12 March 2026, 10:00-11:00

Join C-DICE and Energy Research Accelerator (ERA) for a focused one-hour session that explains what you need to know about alt-ac careers as a supervisor or line manager of PGRs and/or ECRs.

I know you’re busy, and maybe the last thing you want to consider is how to give alt-ac career advice to anyone! However, with an estimated 75% of people with PhDs working outside academia (not to mention the precarity of the academic sector), it’s incredibly valuable for PhD students and ECRs to access advice from the academics they interact with regularly.

This session will give you practical insights and confidence to support researchers in exploring diverse career paths beyond academia.

Thursday 12 March 2026, 10:00-11:00, Online via Zoom
