Take the Energy 100 challenge

The Energy 100 Challenge is a problem-solving challenge run by the Energy Research Accelerator (ERA) to help PhD students and post-doctoral researchers develop soft skills whilst tackling a real-life Energy related problem. The problem will be based on the UK's Industrial Strategy mission to “Establish the world’s first net-zero carbon industrial cluster by 2040 and at least 1 low-carbon cluster by 2030.

This workshop is for you if want to improve the way you identify problems, generate solutions and make decisions whilst tackling a real-life energy related problem, you will:

  • discover your problem-solving style, using the Foursight preference test
  • gain experience on how to work more successfully with collaborators from a variety of backgrounds who have a different problem-solving style to you
  • gain experience of tackling a real world problem in a multidisciplinary way
  • gain experience of working in an online environment
  • increase your network of contacts
  • have the opportunity to compete for a fully funded place at a two-day interactive problem solving workshop held at Loughborough University on 2 and 3 April
