This two hour webinar explores the potential of new Energy Storage technologies, particularly those technologies which fill the 'medium term energy storage' gap.

• What are the latest technologies?
• What are the potential applications for these new energy storage technologies?
• What are the challenges that need to be overcome?
• How can businesses, government and universities work together to achieve this?

When people think of storing energy, they often think of batteries, but there are many other important energy storage technologies. This webinar is led by two leading energy storage experts from the ERA partnership - Professor Seamus Garvey of the University of Nottingham and Professor Phil Eames from Loughborough University. They will be joined by Neil Wilmott from EDF Energy, Noramalina Mansor from BEIS,  Professor Martin Freer, Director of ERA and other experts, who together will discuss and explore the aternative options for energy storage and explain why they are crucial if we are to achieve net-zero by 2050.

The webinar will conclude with a question and answer session.
